Donated Approximately RMB 1.2 Million Pharmaceuticals in Aid to the Earthquake-devastated Areas in Sichuan Province
(Hong Kong, 15 May 2008) Dawnrays Pharmaceutical (Holdings) Limited (“Dawnrays Pharma” or the “Group”, stock code: 2348) has donated pharmaceuticals totaling approximately RMB 1 million to support the rescue and fund-raising efforts for the recent massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake in Sichuan. The donation is made through the Chinese Red Cross Foundation on 14 May 2008 to relieve the urgent need from the victims in the quake-stricken areas. The pharmaceuticals donated from Dawnrays Pharma are antibiotics, including Ceftriaxone Sodium for Injection (Brand name: XianQuin), Cefotaxime Sodium for Injection (Brand name: XianKai), Roxithromycin Tablets (Brand name: ShanDi) and Azithromycin Tablets (Brand name:PeiDi).
On 15 May 2008, on request of the local government, another lot of pharmaceuticals valued at RMB 200,000 has been transported from the Group’s Chongqing office urgently and directly to the disaster area, to relief the shortage of antibiotic drugs in the stricken area.
