May 18th, 2008, the 3rd “Chinese Top 100 Pharmacy Engineering corporations ” was announced in Langfang, Hebei province. According to the statistics published by SFDA, under the background of entire industry reviving in the past year, both scale and industry concentration of these 100 corporations advanced obviously. Their proceeds of sale exceeded 195.4 billion, industry concentration was close to 40%. Among them, Harbin pharmaceutical group holding co.,ltd.(HPGC), Shijiazhuang Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd.(SPGC) and Shanghai Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd.(SPH) was the top 3, Dawnrays Pharmaceutical Limited(DPL)  was the 74th. It is noteworthy that, look at the list from an overall point of view, at the same time when traditional Pharmaceutical giants leading the way, a large number of middle scale and  fast sale-growth enterprises are following them. They formed a “middle forces” in the top 100, and showd the Influence of the 2nd generation pharmaceutical corporations which are springing up rapidly. DPL is a typical representative of them.

The theme of the current annual meeting was “Higher, Faster and stronger”, also explained the new features of the top corporations: compared with the previous two, these corporations show larger scale, faster growth rate and stronger comprehensive strength. After collected the corporations’ operating data, SFDA published another statistics. It said that during the past year, top 100 ‘s sales was 1954,68 million in all, increased 20.25% compared with the same period last year, enhanced another 10.17 growth rate based on 10.08% of 2006. In the year 2007, the scale baseline of top 100 was nearly 650million, increase 14.05% compared with the previous top 100. The overall operating status was good. Current top 100 shows a typical phenomenon that SMEs are growing rapidly. Like Jianhong Tao, the vice-director of SFDA said, SMEs’ growth make the Top 100 ‘s sale and distribution of benefits “big in the middle and small at both ends”
