Cefuroxime Sodium for Injection is indicated for the treatment of infections before the infecting organism has been identified or when caused by sensitive bacteria, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, septicaemia, meningitis, gonorrhoea, bone and joint infections.Prophylaxis against infection in abdominal, pelvic, orthopaedic, cardiac, pulmonary, oesophageal, vascular surgery and total joint replacement surgery where there is increased risk from infection.
